A breath of fresh air in this genre. A strong, likeable female protagonist surrounded by a bunch of likeable guys. A smart and interesting take on werecats and their society. The book is not sullied by overindulgent sex scenes, which I find tiresome and a poor substitute for actual plot and character development in some of the other more wellknown paranormal series out there. Too bad we have to wait so long for the next book! Book 2 - "Rogue" comes out in April '08 and the third book "Pride" is also well on its way. Though I do wish a couple of items that don't merit being left open until the next book were wrapped up better (Ryan and Abby - 4 weeks later at the end of the book how are they doing?) Do we think Andrew is a bad guy? Was he placed there to watch Faythe (by her father or by the bad guys)? Hopefully these are answered in the next book, as I think Vincent left this open in anticipation of a series.
